Control Arms Designs Reporting Mechanism for Governments on the Gendered Impact of SALW on Women and Girls

Activity description

The purpose of this assistance activity, carried out in cooperation with the Caribbean Coalition for Development & Reduction of Armed Violence (CDRAV), was to design a mechanism for governments to report on the arms control measures undertaken to reduce and prevent gender based violence. The goal is to promote gender equality in arms control measures. As part of this activity, research and consultations with governmental stakeholders were conducted, relevant data was collected, analyzed and published. The report contained recommendations and templates meant to assist Latin American and Caribbean governments prepare their reports on the gendered impact of SALW.
