5th Annual Meeting of the Arab National Focal Points for SALW
On 5-7 June 2012, LAS hosted the 5th Annual Meeting of the Arab National Focal Points for SALW. This closed door meeting, which is held periodically, addressed international and regional developments in SALW controls and also represented the occasion to coordinate the position of the Arab States ahead of the 2nd Review Conference of the UNPOA (held from 27 August to 7 September 2012 in New York) and the UN Conference on the drafting of an Arms Trade Treaty (held on 2-27/7/2012 in New York).
