ECCAS/CPS-AVIP Small Arms Training in Chad
The Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) in partnership with Centre for Peace, Security and Armed Violence Prevention (CPS-AVIP) have organised in N'Djamena, Republic of Chad, a workshop to develop a pool of trainers/instructors with abilities to inform, sensitize and mobilize stakeholders to combat violence against women in armed conflict and particularly the illicit circulation of small arms and light weapons in the sub-region of central Africa. Women had the privilege to enhance their understanding of international and regional instruments designed to protect women from violence and how women can play a proactive role in violence prevention. The workshop was organised under the European Union Support Programme to ECCAS on Peace and Security (PAPS II).
