In April 2012, the US Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) SALW Program supported a US Africa Command Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) training mission and MSAG regional Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) seminar in Kenya. USAFRICOM and a DTRA SALW instructor provided instruction on ammunition stockpile management and basic ammunition identification to 38 members of the Kenyan and Egyptian militaries.
