RECSA-ICRC Seminar to Promote Ratification and Implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty in Tanzania 2014
The seminar to Promote Ratification and Implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty was jointly organized by the Regional Center on Small Arms (RECSA) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and held in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Participants came from nine RECSA member states, namely, Burundi, D.R. Congo, Eritrea, Kenya, Seychelles, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. Participants were senior government officers who were closely involved in the negotiation process and working with their governments in dealing with SALW in their capacity as National Focal Points of RECSA. Three RECSA staff members including its Executive Secretary also participated in the seminar.
