UNODC Stockpile Management Assessment Mission to Niger

Activity description

In January and February 2015, United Nations Office in Drugs and Crime (UNODC) organized a joint mission to discuss on the modalities to implement a collection and destruction campaign, and assess the stockpiling and managing of firearms storage at the police stations and brigades of gendarmerie at Niamey, Niger. At the end of the assessment, UNODC issued recommendations aimed at improving the storage facilities and outlined the refurbishment process needed to increase security.
