Activity description

This workshop was organized by UNRCPD, in cooperation with the government of Cambodia, and was made possible with financial support from the Governments of Germany and of New Zealand. It provided the participating states with legal expertise with a view to facilitate the process of ratification of and accession to the ATT. The workshop focussed on examining the treaty commitments and their potential impact on national legislations, identifying challenges and seeking solutions. The workshop primarily brought together government experts who are responsible for drafting relevant domestic legislation. International legal experts provided information and insights on legal issues and possible assistance mechanisms. In addition, the workshop served as a forum for sharing experiences and exchanging best practices regarding the ATT process.
