During Fiscal Year 2012 the US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) continued its work in support of the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS), a regional center for humanitarian mine action (HMA), in Nairobi. This support began in early 2009 and supports the training of HPSS HMA instructors, building capacity in EOD/ERW operations and conventional stockpile management.
