During Fiscal Year 2014, USAFRICOM deployed military EOD personnel to Mozambique to conduct UXO disposal training. This included 'instruction in UXO education and risk reduction, first-responder medical training with an emphasis on blast-trauma injuries, conventional munitions stockpile assessments and training, and program assessments.' In total, the US government contributed more than $1.6 million for Conventional Weapons Disposal (CWD) in Mozambique during Fiscal Year 2014.
