The project's overall objective is to increase the capacity of the authorities of Mauritania, Senegal and Mali to tackle irregular migration and illicit trafficking in their common borders by strengthening their border surveillance systems. This would be done in particular through supporting the implementation of Land border joint patrols and by the establishment of a Border Management Center in Selibaby (Mauritana) in the common border of the three countries.
