On 30 March 2019, the Regional Centre for Small Arms (RECSA) handed over 105 steel arms boxes and 40 gun racks to Rwanda National Police, in order to support the safe storage and transportation of arms. RECSA’s initiative to donate arms storage facilities to member states seeks to improve safe storage of stockpiles, curb diversions, improve management and control, and ensure proper accountability of firearms.
