Liberia training on Armoury Management and Arms Transfer Procedures for personnel from state security
From 19 to 21 December 2018, the Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA) organised a three-day training on Armoury Management and Arms Transfer Procedures for personnel from state security in the City of Buchannan, Grand Bassa County. Participants were drew from Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), Liberia National Police (LNP), Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Liberia Drugs Enforcement Service (LDEA) Executive Protection Service (EPS) and the National Security Agency (NSA). The training is part of the project ‘Support to PSSM activities in Liberia’ implemented by LiNCSA, funded by the British Government.
The Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA), with funding from the British Government through its Embassy in Monrovia, implemented a Project on the Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM). The Project titled ‘Support to PSSM activities in Liberia’ was implemented from October 2018 to January 2019 and sought to enhance the capacity of state security in the proper management of arms stockpile and also raise awareness on issues regarding arms trafficking and the circulation of illicit firearms.
