The objective of the collaboration project between the Association for Public Policy (APP), Project Ploughshares and the Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress is to produce a series of recommendations for the effective implementation of the ATT in Latin America and the Caribbean. The project intends to identify the institutions that must be involved, the processes, especially the decision-making process and the necessary documentation to find the key for a "perfect office" to implement the ATT in the region. Working towards that end, the project is examining 4 case studies to extract specific recommendations and suggest general trends. That is, Brazil as a purely exporting state, Argentina as an importing/exporting mixed state, Costa Rica as an importing state and the Bahamas as a transit Caribbean state.
