UNREC and UNDP support Madagascar with training activities in physical security and stockpile management, weapons marking and data recording

Activity description

From 6  to 18 May 2019 UNREC, in collaboration with UNDP, organised a training on physical security and stockpile management (PSSM), weapons marking and record keeping in Madagascar. The course aimed to contribute to the reduction of armed violence and illicit trafficking in Madagascar and was attended by 100 participants from the National Defense and Security Forces. Participants were involved into practical exercises on inventory and stockpile management, weapons marking and maintenance of registers and databases. Moreover, UNDP and UNREC provided the Government of Madagascar with marking machines and computers.
