During Fiscal Year 2012 the Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement in the US Department of State's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (PM/WRA) funded work by the Halo Trust on Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) in Somalia. Work carried out by the Halo Trust MAG included manual demining, battle area clearance, survey and EOD teams, and the destruction of a limited number of MANPADS. In total, the US State Department provided $2.5 million for conventional weapons destruction and PSSM in Somalia Fiscal Year 2012.
