In June 2012, German Arms Control Agency and the US Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) SALW Program conducted a Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) executive seminar at the Humanitarian and Peace Support School (HPSS) in Kenya. The goal of the seminar was to orient 26 participants from seven African nations to international best practices for PSSM in order to reduce proliferation by improving the security, safety, and management of stockpiles of arms, ammunition, and explosives. The seminar involved PSSM experts from Austria, Canada, Germany, and Sweden.
