During Fiscal Year 2014, the US government funded work by Mines Advisory Group (MAG) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). MAG deployed weapons and ammunition destruction teams, destroying 12,674 SALW and 75 tons of surplus, unstable, at-risk, and obsolete munitions throughout North and South Kivu Provinces. In total the US Government contributed more than $4.1 million for Conventional Weapons Disposal (CWD) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) during Fiscal Year 2014.
