A legal drafting workshop was conducted by the the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Abuja with the support of the Regional Legal Adviser (RLA) based in Abidjan. The workshop gathered 32 legal experts from the Ministries of Justice, Defence, Foreign affairs and from relevant committees in the Senate, House of Representatives, and Legal drafting unit of the National Assembly. The workshop was on the technical drafting of implementing legislation of the Arms Trade Treaty. This is the fourth in a series of technical workshops the delegation had conducted for government legal drafters since 2010.
