CAMYOSFOP sub-regional Workshop on Data Collection on SDG Target 16.4.2 on Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and the Application of International Tracing Instrument (ITI) on SALW in Central Africa
From 29 June to 1 July 2021, the Cameroon Youths and Students Forum for Peace (CAMYOSFOP), in partnership with the Cameroonian Ministry of External Affairs (MINREX), the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and with funding from the United Nations Trust Facility Supporting Cooperation on Arms Regulation (UNSCAR), organized a workshop for the 11 ECCAS member states on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Target 16.4.2 on small arms and light weapons (SALW) & the International Tracing Instrument on SALW in Yaounde. As part of the project, CAMYOSFOP developed a training guide on data collection. The workshop was organized as part of the project "Capacity building of 11 Member States of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) on Data Collection of SDG 16.4.2 and the application of the International Tracing Instrument".
The project "Capacity building of 11 Member States of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) on Data Collection of SDG 16.4.2 and the application of the International Tracing Instrument" is implemented by CAMYOSFOP with the financial support of UNSCAR.
