RECSA training and installation of the Small Arms Tracing Software in Ethiopia
On 3 October 2020, the Regional Centre for Small Arms (RECSA) organised the training on the use and installation of its Small Arms Tracing Software for Ethiopian law enforcement agencies. The training is organized in the framework of the Africa Amnesty Month 2020 project with the support of the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs and funding from Germany.
The September Africa Amnesty Month campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the African Union and the United Nations office for disarmament (UNODA) with funding from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Japan. The September Africa Amnesty month was declared in 2017 by the African Union within the framework of silencing the guns by 2020 initiative and adopted by African member states.
