Activity description

On 15-17 October 2020, the Regional Centre for Small Arms (RECSA) organised a training seminar on physical security and stockpile management of weapons and ammunition in Yaounde, Cameroon, in the framework of the Amnesty month campaign. The seminar was attended by participants from law enforcement agencies and civil society organizations.

Project description

The September Africa Amnesty Month campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the African Union and the United Nations office for disarmament (UNODA) with funding from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Japan. The September Africa Amnesty month was declared in 2017 by the African Union within the framework of silencing the guns by 2020 initiative and adopted by African member states.
