The 'African Seminar to Prepare for the Final Conference on the ATT' was an opportunity for African states to identify gaps and consider in-depth the contents of the draft ATT. The seminar also provided a platform for African states to give input in order to achieve a robust ATT in line with the concerns and interests of the African region. It also enabled African governmental experts to further deepen their understanding with regard to the scope, criteria, parameters and implementation of the Treaty and to prepare for the Final Conference. The seminar was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
