BAFA Delivers Ad-Hoc Seminar of the European Union Partner-2-Partner Export Control Programme for Arms-ATT (EUP2P ATT) in Barbados

Activity description

As part of the EUP2P ATT project, the ad hoc seminar discussed the establishment and enhancement of a licensing framework, touched on prosecution and sanctions, physical security and stockpile management as well as record keeping and reporting obligations. It was attended by more than 30 participants of all relevant Barbadian stakeholders. The objective of the Ad Hoc Individual Assistance Workshop is to strengthen the arms Transfer controls capacities of the beneficiary countries to meet the ATT requirements in a targeted and relevant manner without the need for an elaborate roadmap. The seminar was organized with complementary assistance from the Caribbean Community Implementation Agency for Crime and Security (CARICOM IMPACS).
