CAMYOSFOP national workshop in Central Africa Republic on the implementation of the Kinshasa Convention and the POA through the MOSAIC Modules

Activity description

On 19-20 September 2019, as part of a UNSCAR funded project, CAMYOSFOP organised a workshop in Bangui to strengthen the technical and operational capacities of the Central Africa Republic on MOSAIC for the creation of a National Commission On Small Arms and Light Weapons as well as the elaboration of a National Action Plans on SALW. Participants were drawn from key Ministries, Government Institutions and Civil Society Organizations.

Project description

From January to December 2019, CAMYOSFOP - with the financial support of UNSCAR – implemented a project on “strengthening the technical and operational capacities of 7 state parties to the KINSHASA convention on SALW on the use of MOSAIC for the creation of NATCOMS, elaboration of NAPs and the SALW nature of women and youth”. The main objective of the project was to organize capacity strengthening workshops with key Government Officials on the creation of NATCOMs and elaboration of National Action Plans on SALW.
