Activity description

The purpose of CARICOM’s ongoing project is to increase Member States’ ATT and PoA National Points of Contacts understanding of international, multilateral, and regional arms control instruments and access to related monitoring tools. Planned activities include a training programme and workshops on small arms and light weapons control standards.

Project description

CARICOM's Capacity Building and Technical Support for National Points of Contact on the ATT and UNPOA in CARICOM Member States goal is to strengthen the capacity of CARICOM Member States to implement small arms and light weapons control obligations outlined in the ATT and the UN PoA. The project is also intended to increase Member States’ ATT and PoA National Points of Contacts understanding of international, multilateral and regional arms control instruments and access to related monitoring tools. Planned activities include a training Programme and workshops on small arms and light weapons control standards.
