Activity description

The purpose of this activity, which took place in Trinidad and Tobago during the first formal Preparatory Meeting towards the the First Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty (CSP1), was for delegates of the Control Arms coalition to demonstrate that there is a better use for steel than weapons and ammunition and reinforce the coalition’s call for effective implementation of the ATT and the treaty-focused campaign ‘#chance2change’. Control Arms also launched the first report from the new ATT Monitor project at the meeting, which focuses on reporting patterns among signatories and States Parties to the ATT. The overall purpose was to raise awareness for the need for effective implementation of the ATT.
