IPSTC 2020 Safe and Secure Management of Ammunition Course for African countries

Activity description

From 21 January to 7 February 2020, the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) conducted a Safe and Secure Management of Ammunition Course for African countries in Kenya. The first part of the course, focusing on the theoretical framework, was held at the Peace and Conflict Studies School (PCSS) in Nairobi on 21- 24 January 2020. The second and more practical part of the course took place at the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS), also in Nairobi, from 27 January-7 February 2020.

The course was funded by the British Government through the British Peace Support Team-Africa (BPST- A) in partnership with the Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA) and the African Union Commission (AUC).

There were 25 participants from 10 countries: Burundi, Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.
