Activity description

Organized by RECSA, the Regional Advocacy, Consultative and Awareness Workshop on the ATT aimed to encourage RECSA Member States to ratify and accede to the ATT and proceed to the implementation process. The workshop was preceded by the study on the synergies and complementarities between the ATT and the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms (UNPoA), the Nairobi Protocol and the Kinshasa Convention.

Project description

The UNSCAR funded project 'Mobilising RECSA Member States to Sign, Ratify and Implement the ATT' provides assistance to RECSA to undertake regional advocacy, consultative conferences and public awareness events on the ATT. The project also encourages Member States to harmonise their laws to the provisions of the Treaty.
