UNODC Firearms Marking in Burkina Faso and Mali 2015

Activity description

In 2015, United Nations Office in Drugs and Crime (UNODC) assisted in the marking and registration of more than 800 firearms from the Police in Burkina Faso, while in Mali, more than 300 firearms from Rangers (Eaux et Forêts) have gone through the process. In 2016, UNODC will provide further technical support to continue and improve marking and registration in the two countries as well as in Niger and Senegal.
