CAMYOSFOP Cameroon national workshop on the implementation of the Kinshasa Convention and the POA through the MOSAIC Modules
From 22 April to 23 April 2019 CAMYOSFOP, in partnership with UNREC and ECCAS, organised a meeting on Cameroon’s implementation of the Kinshasa Convention on SALW through the MOSAIC modules. The workshop, attended by representatives from relevant Ministries, the National Assembly and the Cameroonian defense and security sector aimed to support the Government of Cameroon in the creation of the Cameroon National Commission on SALW and the adoption of a National Action Plan.
From January to December 2019, CAMYOSFOP - with the financial support of UNSCAR – implemented a project on “strengthening the technical and operational capacities of 7 state parties to the KINSHASA convention on SALW on the use of MOSAIC for the creation of NATCOMS, elaboration of NAPs and the SALW nature of women and youth”. The main objective of the project was to organize capacity strengthening workshops with key Government Officials on the creation of NATCOMs and elaboration of National Action Plans on SALW.
