From 11 - 12 April 2018, UNLIREC and the Ministry of Defense of El Salvador held a workshop titled 'Discussion on the Preparation of a National Control List', in San Salvador, El Salvador, with funding from the ATT Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF). The main objective was to emphasize the creation of a control list as an essential part of a national control system for conventional arms transfers. Topics discussed included the relevant criteria to be included in the list, as well as the importance of considering the national context. UNLIREC also addressed the obligation to submit initial and annual reports to the ATT Secretariat.
