CAMYOSFOP Capacity Building Workshop on 'The Intricacies of National and International Law on the Use of Arms in the ATT Domestication Process in Cameroon'
From 16 to 17 May 2018 CAMYOSFOP organised an ATT capacity-building workshop in Cameroon. The workshop, attended by twenty-five members of the Vigilante Committee in the Far-North, aimed to provide the participants with an overview of national and international laws regulating arms transfers and the use of weapons as part of the national ATT implementation process in Cameroon.
For the year 2018, the ATT Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF) approved the project 'Fast Tracking the Universalization and implementation of the ATT in Cameroon' to be implemented by CAMYOSFOP in 2018. The project aimed to organise workshops for Government Ministries, Parliamentarians and journalists to fast-track the universalization of the Arms Trade Treaty in Cameroon.
