Liberia rehabilitation of a temporary arms mobile storage facility

Activity description

On 20 October 2018, a handover ceremony was organised for the refurbishement of a temporary arms mobile storage facility at the Liberia National Police (LNP) Headquarters. This rehabilitation was part of the project ‘Support to PSSM activities in Liberia’ implemented by the Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA), with funding from the British Government.

Project description

The Liberia National Commission on Small Arms (LiNCSA), with funding from the British Government through its Embassy in Monrovia, implemented a Project on the Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM). The Project titled ‘Support to PSSM activities in Liberia’ was implemented from October 2018 to January 2019 and sought to enhance the capacity of state security in the proper management of arms stockpile and also raise awareness on issues regarding arms trafficking and the circulation of illicit firearms.
