Activity description

The purpose of the ongoing Mission to Support the Peace Process in Colombia by the Organization of American States (MAPP/OAS) is to carry out monitoring and accompaniment tasks related to the peace policy in Colombia. The Mission, created in 2004, centers its work on the constant -on the ground- monitoring of the conditions of security, peace building and transitional justice. Since 2015, it has monitored the current and potential social conflicts that could constitute a challenge to the peace agreement between the government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia -People's Army (FARC-EP, for its initials in Spanish).
