UNLIREC and the Ministry of Defense of El Salvador, along with the Salvadorian Chancellery, organized a workshop titled, "Towards internal regulation for ATT implementation" from 20 - 21 November 2017 in El Salvador, and with funding from the ATT Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF).  25 national authorities responsible for conventional arms transfers discussed normative requirements deriving from the ATT, as well as relevant national regulations. The aim was to identify needs and necessary steps for the preparation of the internal legislation to enforce the ATT, as well as to present the draft decree that would create the national authority responsible for implementing the Treaty.
